About Sheena
Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Sheena Vaught is a Christian filmmaker, writer, entrepreneur and mentor. She is the owner of Tower 5 Media and A R I M U S E Productions and the creator of the popular online talk show, Coffee with the Girls.
Born and raised in Brunswick County, Sheena received an Associate of Arts from Brunswick Community College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2011. Since graduating, Sheena has developed her craft through hands-on experience with various roles in the filmmaking process, including script supervisor, production coordinator and actress, both in the Wilmington area and Los Angeles, California. Her work has been featured in several film festivals including the Cucalorus Film Festival, Wayne Community College Film Festival, Cultural Spirit Online Film Festival and the Solstice Film Festival.
Sheena has been involved in her local community throughout her career. She mentors film students from UNCW and employs college interns to help students gain video editing experience. Additionally, she has served on the Brunswick Arts Council Board of Directors where she coordinated Brunswick County’s first film festival, the Solstice Film Festival, which premiered in the summer of 2022. She is a member of the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce and the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Finally, she is the creator of Coffee with the Girls, a table talk web series in which Christian women discuss obstacles and victories from their personal lives.
When she is not working, Sheena spends most of her time with her nephew, Wesley and niece, Olivia. She currently lives in Southport, N.C.
